	Eyeglasses and sunglasses have long been a fashion item in addition to their important optical function. Optometrists have had to develop modern open displays and sales techniques to encourage customers to enter their premises and purchase merchandise. This has brought with it a high incidence of theft and as designer eyewear is desirable and expensive the losses sustained have been significant. The one piece Llexan Sonar-Tag is a re-usable security tag designed for eyewear. The tag and fastener are all-in-one making it an even more efficient and cost effective security device. Sonar-Tag also contains Acousto-Magnetic Technology. Should eyewear be illicitly removed, the technology activates a visual and audio alarm within pedestals at doorways enabling staff to take appropriate recovery procedures.
